What is Marpit

Marpit is a framework for creating a presentation starting from Markdown text. Don’t you know Markdown yet?

Well, Markdown is a textual format that allows us to focus on content by writing text without losing time on formatting. For example, if you write “# my title” you will have a big and bold title on top of the page.

Anyway, I think every one of you already knows it and could give a better definition 😃

Well, if you know what Markdown does for formatting a text, Marpit does the same for a presentation.

Marpit has a big driver: it provides a great experience to create beautiful slide decks.

You only have to focus on writing your story in the Markdown document. No matter about textbox, font size, element alignment.

It is not just a matter of time; it is about the focus on what you are doing. Each distraction from content writing compromises the quality of the document.

How to use it

You can install a client application, integrate it into your app, but I will tell you the simple way: use Visual Studio Code. Inside Visual Studio Code, you need only one small step: activate the Marpit plugin. You will start a regular Markdown document (extension . MD) and see the preview of what you are writing.
